Dates, are most often used for business activities, such as setting the date of a journal or the due date of an invoice. Therefore, we use market time for dates.
Dates are formatted as

Date-times, on the other hand, are more specific to a time on a particular date. Since they are not as closely related to business activities, we use UTC-based time for date-times.
Date-times are formatted as
2024-11-14T05:05:00Z.
